Transportation of Biological Materials

The transportation of any type of biological materials on or to campus or from the campus to other locations should be properly packaged and labeled.

Guidelines have been developed to provide researchers with details.

Are you ready to safely transport your samples?


  All samples are properly labeled, sealed, and placed in closed container(s).

  Cooler contains gloves, absorbent pad, disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer.

  All samples are properly labeled, sealed, and placed in closed container(s).

  Disinfectant spray is not expired. If it is, contact EHS 303-724-0345.

  All samples are properly labeled, sealed, and placed in closed container(s).

  Completed Incident Report Form for Biological Hazards if necessary.

  Contacted EHS Occupational Health program, 303-724-4663 in case of spill or exposure.

  Contacted Radiation Safety Officer, 303-724-0345 for incident involving radioisotopes.

  Completed Risk Management Workers Compensation form.

  Submitted completed Incident Report Form for Biological Hazards to biosafety.program@ucdenver.edu AND occupational.health@ucdenver.edu
