For the administration of biological agents (infectious agents, viral vectors, cell lines, etc) to animalsAccrediting and funding agencies require EHS to review all agents used in animal experiments to identify potential occupational hazards, prescribe appropriate waste disposal methods and post relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the CU Anschutz Vivarium. Use the appropriate form by following the special instructions for download and submission outlined below.
Note: Individuals experimenting on animal subjects must contact the vivarium facility manager before first use of an approved SOP to review any additional requirements.

This review determines whether a particular agent requires an SOP based on the hazard category, agent credentials and method of administration.
