Full Fee Charged
COMIRB charges the full review fee for industry-sponsored research, as well as for research funded by awards administered by the affiliated institutions listed below.
- Denver Health and Hospital Authority (DHHA)
- VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS)
- Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO)
- University of Colorado Health (UCHealth)
- Colorado Prevention Center (CPC)
No Fee Charged
COMIRB does not charge a review fee for federally funded research. If your study is not funded by industry or by an external award, COMIRB will not charge the review fee; researchers do not need to request a fee waiver in such cases.
Examples of studies that do not require a review fee include:
- Studies receiving National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants
- Subcontracted Federal agreements with entities such as:
- Adult AIDS Clinical Trials Group (AACTG)
- Bacteriology and Mycology Study Group (BAMSG)
- Center for Disease Control (CDC)
- Gynecological Oncology Group (GOG)
- Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG)
Fee Waiver or Reduction
Some studies that are subject to the review fees described above may qualify for a fee waiver or reduction. In order to apply for a waiver or reduction you will need to request a fee waiver via the billing form that appears at the end of the COMIRB application form.
