The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) establishes the general government requirements for federal contracts.   Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) are two primary federal sponsors to the University. Each agency has issued guidance identifying policies and procedures governing its awards.

The Research Terms and Conditions (RTCs) are standard governmentwide requirements for federal research awards. Many federal agencies awarding research grants and cooperative agreements have adopted the RTCs. Some agencies have incorporated agency-specific requirements to the RTCs.   

Appendix A of the RTCs identifies the expanded authorities each award agency has provided to its awards.

The Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Council is responsible for coordinating federal assistance programs. The CFO Grants webpage provides training, resources, and latest news and information related to federal grants and cooperative agreements.

Grants.gov is the official federal government website that identifies competitive federal grant and cooperative agreement opportunities. The website also provides resources on applying for and managing federal grants.
