With the expiration of our negotiated Facilities and Administrative (F&A) Rate Agreement, the organization is currently operating under a provisional F&A rate until a new agreement is finalized and approved by the cognizant federal agency. 

The provisional rate allows the continued application of our existing indirect cost rates to sponsored projects while negotiations for a new rate agreement are underway.  

Departments and principal investigators should continue to budget and manage awards using the provisional rate unless specific sponsor restrictions apply.
