NIH Other Support Policy Update
Pre-Award
Oct 16, 2025CU Anschutz and CU Denver have released updated guidance for NIH “Other Support” disclosures, aligning with federal requirements set to take effect October 1, 2025. The policy ensures transparency around all resources—financial and in-kind—that contribute to NIH-funded research.
What’s Required
Researchers must report all support—including internal awards, lab space, and visiting scholars—during Just-in-Time submissions and annual progress reports. New support must be disclosed immediately. Gifts and training awards are excluded.
Training
All Key Personnel need to complete NIH’s “Research Security Training (Combined Course)” via CITI. This policy reflects NIH’s broader push for research integrity and foreign influence transparency. Full details are available on the policy page or on the Regulatory Compliance site.
