New Cost Share and Routing Form Launching July 1st
Pre-Award
Jun 10, 2026The Office of Grants and Contracts (OGC) is pleased to announce that beginning July 1, 2026, an updated OGC Routing Form and a new Cradle-to-Grave Cost Share Form will be available in InfoEd.
Cost sharing remains an important component of many sponsored projects, yet accurately tracking these commitments throughout the proposal and award lifecycle can be challenging.
To address these challenges, OGC partnered with campus stakeholders to develop a more streamlined and transparent process that captures cost share commitments at the proposal stage and follows them through award setup and project management.
What Will Change?
The new process introduces enhanced tools and automation within InfoEd that will help investigators, departments, and administrators:
- Accurately identify and document cost share commitments during proposal development
- Clearly designate funding sources supporting cost share obligations
- Improve transparency and accountability for institutional commitments
- Accelerate award setup by establishing SpeedTypes earlier in the award lifecycle
Why It Matters
These improvements will provide a more complete picture of the university's financial commitments, strengthen compliance with sponsor requirements, and reduce administrative burden for departments and research teams. By improving the accuracy of cost share reporting, the university will be better positioned to manage resources strategically while supporting continued growth in sponsored research activity.
Training and Resources
- Additional guidance and training resources will be provided July 1, 2026 on the InfoEd landing page
- Virtual Office Hours will be hosted July 8th & July 9th from 11am - 12pm (Office Hours Zoom Link)
OGC thanks the many campus partners who contributed to the development of these enhancements and appreciates the continued collaboration of the research community as these improvements are implemented.
