NIH has mandated that all Senior/Key Personnel on NIH-funded grants must complete training on updated "Other Support" disclosure requirements as well as Research Security. 

Our campus has purchased a Citi training that will meet both requirements in one training module. The timing of the requirements from NIH has been somewhat unclear, but as a campus we are taking a proactive approach and following several of our peers and thus are requiring that "Research Security Training (Combined Course)" be  complete for Proposals, JIT, RPPRs and NIH Prior Approval Request submitted on or after January 25, 2026. This one training will meet the requirements for Research Security and Other Support. 

To fulfill this requirement, please complete the "Research Security Training" available on the Office of Regulatory Compliance website. In addition to meeting the NIH requirements, this training also fulfills the requirements of many other non-NIH sponsors for Research Security Training. NIH is also developing a centralized process for recipients to certify compliance with NIH Research Security Policies, and updated guidance is expected to be issued in the coming months.
