PIs & Key Personnel: Regenerate/Reupload Biosketches & COPDs in SciENcv
In late September, universities across the country were notified about the expiring digital signing certificate in SciENcv. This means that Biosketches and Current and Pending Support Documents (CPSDs) certified before September 19th will prompt errors in InfoEd during the application submission process. Therefore, PIs and other Key Personnel are advised to regenerate Biosketches and CPSDs in SciENcv using the new digital signing certificate and reuploading them to avoid errors during the application submissions process. POST-AWARD
Appointments for Training Awards
Please remember that we need to be submitting appointments/reappointments for trainees under T32s as soon as possible. The link for making a new appointment to a training grant, institutional career development award or research education award will be available as soon as the Notice of Award for the new budget period has been issued. Delays in appointments can lead to errors in funding updates for the campus and/or questions by the agency on why the appointments are not completed.
The VA's fiscal year runes October - September. A minor change to business practices will allow effort posted to VA IPA SpeedTypes to align with these reporting periods to reduce billing issues. Read More.
Reminder: Leave Under Training & Fellowships
If you have trainees or fellows on federally funded training or fellowship awards planning a leave of absence (Sick Leave/Parental/Unpaid) longer than 15 calendar days, please contact the OGC Post Award unit to coordinate with your assigned GMS for guidance before the leave begins.
