Registration for the CRA Exam Prep-Course is now available through Percipio. The course is held online on Fridays from noon until 1pm for 15 weeks starting on July 24, 2026 and will end on October 30, 2026. Since the University began the prep course, all employees who have completed the course and sat for the exam have passed. The texting window is from November 7-21, 2026. This course is free to all CU Anschutz and CU Denver employees. 

Additional information about the CRA exam can be found on the Research Administrator Certification Council (RACC) website. 

To be eligible to sit for the exam, an individual must meet the following requirements established by the RACC:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree and three (3) years of professional experience in research administration or sponsored programs administration either in a sponsoring or recipient organization or the equivalent in a self-funded organization; -OR-
• An Associate’s degree and five (5) years of professional experience in research administration or sponsored programs administration either in a sponsoring or recipient organization or the equivalent in a self-funded organization; -OR-
• No degree and six (6) years of professional experience in the research administration or sponsored programs administration either in a sponsoring or recipient organization or the equivalent in a self-funded organization.
