UCHealth: Masking
Nov 13, 2020Staff and providers who work in any UCHealth hospital or clinic building must wear a medical-grade procedural or surgical mask, beginning Wednesday, Nov 4. This includes administrative employees. Cloth masks will not be allowed in any hospital or clinic building. Employees working in a multi-story building with ambulatory clinics on one floor and administration on other floors may allow cloth masks on the administration floors as long as procedural/surgical masks are worn on the patient-care floor. If in doubt, please contact your regional command center for guidance.
In administrative buildings and while staff are walking to or from their vehicles, cloth masks may still be worn. Please see The Source for PPE distribution information in your region. All staff, providers and partners who work in a hospital or clinical area will be provided one mask per day which can be replaced when soiled or unusable. Medical-grade surgical masks may also be brought from home.
