Good Clinical Practice: GCP ICH E6(R3) Updates
Aug 8, 2025From the CITI Program: "On July 23, 2025, CITI Program updated all of its relevant GCP and other content to align with the new ICH E6(R3) Guideline for Good Clinical Practice. The updates have been automatically applied to all relevant modules. Therefore, learners who newly enroll in an affected course will receive the updated content. In addition, learners who already completed a course can re-complete any previously completed modules at any time.
Please note that certain modules in the GCP FDA Basic and Refresher courses still refer to ICH E6(R2) as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not yet adopted E6(R3) as guidance. As part of these updates, certain modules in the GCP ICH and FDA Refresher courses were given new module IDs."
At this time, the university does not require faculty and staff to update their GCP training. When it is time to renew your GCP training, follow the usual instructions. The modules have already been updated.
If individual research sponsors require evidence of updated GCP training right away, update your training by following the instructions at the CITI Program.
