COMIRB Now Posting CITI Training Completion Lists
May 14, 2025As a courtesy to study teams, COMIRB has begun publishing weekly reports containing the names of all affiliated research personnel who have completed their required CITI training within the last three years. This will allow research staff to more readily identify which members of their team have valid training, as well as those who have not completed either the HIPS (HIPAA) training module or the Human Subjects training module. If an individual’s name does not appear on this list, that means they do not have valid CITI training and must complete or renew their certification(s) in order to comply with COMIRB’s training requirements.
If you are a new investigator or research staff member, COMIRB will accept a completion certificate for human subjects training from your previous institution, provided your training was completed within the last three years. However, new faculty and research staff must affiliate with our institution on CITI and update their training within one year of joining the University. More details regarding CITI requirements are available on our Training webpage.
