Alert: Canvas Outage Update
Canvas access has been restored for our users, but the service reliability remains uncertain. Due to recent events, Canvas has had intermittent outages which are at the discretion of the vendor and may occur during a final exam. Faculty and staff may continue to use Canvas, but we strongly advise faculty and students to prepare a contingency plan for turning in assignments and final exams in the event Canvas access becomes unavailable again.

Equipment and Space Rental
Procedural space is available within the vivaria and can be reserved online using the University’s EMS Web App(Vivarium Equipment and Space Request How To). Please note that reservations are for the room BSC or the Counter Space, not for the entire room.
Anesthesia machines are also available for reservation through the EMS Web App. You must have been trained on the proper use and cleaning of the machine prior to being able to reserve these.
There is a variety of other common items available, on a limited, first come – first served, basis. There is no fee to reserve these items however there is a cleaning charge or a replacement cost charge for breakage.
These items include:
- Scales and weigh boats
- Bead sterilizers
- Tattoo machine (if you’ve been trained)
