Person of Interest (POI) Designations

Please be aware that processing can take up to 72 hours.

To obtain access to the UC Denver InfoEd eRA system to work with the Office of Grants and Contracts, all researchers, staff and volunteers with University of Colorado affiliates require the following two-step process:

1. Complete and submit a Person of Interest (POI) Information Form. Once your request is processed, your personal profile will be granted access to the UC Denver Portals.
2. After receiving an email that your POI number has been linked to your UC Denver login, then you should be able to log in! If you would like to move forward with this and believe that we already have a profile for you in the CU systems, please begin with Step 1 anyway. If you already have completed any of this in the past, your information will help us to identify your previously existing records and you will go through the process that much more quickly.

If you require a CU Denver email account to work together with a University of Colorado department, please contact that department directly, and ask their departmental Personnel and Payroll Liaison (PPL) for assistance.

Most likely, you will be directed to submit a Sponsored User Registration form to create a new CU Denver username and email address. They will also let you know which Organization Name you should choose in the drop-down list on that form as your Sponsoring Department. It is essential that they know you are submitting this form to them so they can get it approved.

If you are needing a CU Denver email account to work together specifically with COMIRB, complete and submit the Person of Interest (POI) Information Form (below). 

If you require lab access for bench or animal research, speak with the department you will be working together with, as they will serve as your sponsor – most likely this is a departmental Personnel and Payroll Liaison (PPL).

If you need to have a Conflict of Interest (COI) form on file with the University of Colorado Denver, complete and submit the Person of Interest (POI) Information Form in order to gain access to the InfoEd eRA research tracking system. A COI declaration must be completed within this electronic system.

Instructions on how to complete your COI disclosure will be emailed to during the process of being given access to the InfoEd system.

Users that previously had a POI/active account and can no longer log in because it has expired (1 year expiration), use the "Person of Interest (POI) Form for First Time Users" button below; this should still link to your old POI if the same information is used.

If you have had a name change, please use the previous name and send an email to [email protected] to have your last name updated on the POI.
