CU Anschutz does not require ARPA-H abstracts to be reviewed by OGC. In lieu of this, we request that one CU Anschutz team member please alert us through a simplified process of your intent to submit an abstract or full proposal to ARPA-H.

The goal of the Office of Research Development and Strategy is to grow and enhance the CU Anschutz research funding portfolio by increasing the competitiveness of teams and investigators to secure extramural grants. Our team is integrated across the CU Anschutz campus, the CU system and maintains close relationships with federal and foundation partners, making us uniquely positioned to build collaborations, cultivate funding opportunities and drive alignments between CU Anschutz research.

Our team works to cultivate and nurture research collaborations and partnerships across CU Anschutz's schools and colleges, the CU system and federal funding agencies to prepare researchers for team science funding. Current collaborative research initiatives include:

BioFrontiers (Boulder and CU Anschutz campuses)
Climate health (Boulder, CU Anschutz and School of Mines)
Artificial intelligence, advanced computing and quantum (industry partners, Boulder and CU Anschutz)

Limited submission funding opportunities are those in which the number of applications that can be submitted by an institution is limited by the sponsor.

Our team manages the limited submission program for the CU Anschutz and CU Denver campuses, which involves coordinating institutional nominations.

Opportunities are circulated through Funding Focus, our biweekly newsletter, and posted on the Limited Submissions page.

Our team manages two internally funded programs sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research - ASPIRE and AB Nexus - and provides strategic guidance and support to teams as they prepare to transition from internal awards to competitive extramural funding.

We also compile an inventory of cross-campus internal funding opportunities available to CU Anschutz researchers.
