NIH Funding Announcements

NIH funding opportunities and notices are presented weekly. Please see the current and past updates below.

Limited Funding Opportunities

Currently we are seeing an increase in the number of limited institutional grant opportunities in which we can nominate a single applicant from our institution. Due to the short turn-around time we will have a modified and shortened process for these types of grant opportunities.

Please take a moment to visit and bookmark the newly launched website featuring limited funding opportunities.

To submit a proposal for these opportunities:

Interested candidates must send a one-page summary of their research proposal and their biosketch in pdf format via the Limited Submission Portal.

Library of Congress, through a gift from the Andrew Mellon Foundation, has initiated a new grants program titled “Of the People: Widening the Path: Community Collections Grants to Organizations” (030ADV21R0637)

Postdoc Funding Session: Burroughs Wellcome Fund on Tuesday, August 10 from 10:30-11:30am

Postdoctoral researchers, graduate students and their advisors at the University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) and the Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz) are invited to a special opportunity to meet Dr. Louis J. Muglia, President and CEO of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund (BWF), and Dr. Kelly Rose, Program Officer.

Dr. Muglia and Dr. Rose will lead a webinar on BWF award programs that bridge advanced postdoctoral training and early years of faculty services, including the BWF Careers at the Scientific Interface (CASI) program (deadline: 9/1/2021) and the BWF Career Awards for Medical Scientists (CAMS) (deadline: 10/1/2021).

The webinar will also feature Dr. Adrianne Rosales, Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering, recipient of the BWF CASI in 2016 and former CU Boulder postdoc, who will provide perspective on how the award influenced her training and career; and we are delighted to have Dr. Kristi Anseth, Tisone Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, who was Adrianne’s postdoctoral advisor and who has encouraged and supported many people in her lab over the years to apply for funding from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund.

We are also very pleased to have joining us, Dr. Lori Sussel, the Sissel and Findlow Family Chair and Professor of Pediatrics and Cell & Developmental Biology at CU Anschutz, who serves as Director Basic and Translational Research at the Barbara Davis Diabetes Center.
