Countdown to July 1st - New CU Anschutz IND/IDE Program Launch

The newly created IND/IDE Office is part of the CU Anschutz-wide IND/IDE Program, a partnership between the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and the Cancer Center. The program will manage and track all communications and submissions to FDA and all documents submitted to FDA throughout a project’s lifecycle.

The IND/IDE Office will officially open July 1, 2023!

Important items to know as July 1st approaches:

  • Active INDs and IDEs may transition into management by the IND/IDE program on a case-by-case basis.
  • There will be a single point of entry to initiate collaboration with IND/IDE program staff for any communication with the FDA regardless of therapeutic indication or details of your request. You can find the triage intake link and more information about the IND/IDE Office on their website.
  • Study teams will need to initiate collaboration with IND/IDE program staff before and separate from the HSR Portal as soon as they have a final draft of the protocol, or whenever they see the potential need for interaction with FDA.
  • The IND/IDE Program will assist with project feasibility assessments including an administrative budget review in accordance with their internal workflows. These steps will help support PIs in conducting successful and viable clinical trials.
  • For any questions or to request additional information, please contact the IND/IDE Office at ind.ide.office@cuanschutz.edu.
