Research Study on Effects of Estrogen on the Brain

Research Study on Effects of Estrogen on the Brain

The goal of this study is to understand how sex hormones, like estrogen, influence brain blood vessel function in women. Changes in heart health and blood vessel function during menopause may contribute to an increased Alzheimer’s disease risk in women. We are inviting premenopausal (women with regular menstrual periods) and postmenopausal (no menstrual period >12 months) women to participate in a study looking at the effects of estrogen and menopause on vascular function in the brain.
