People over the age of 18 who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 30 days (PCR or rapid test--both are acceptable).
The aim is better to understand risk factors and the occurrence of PASC. Study data, including age, demographics, social determinants of health, medical history, vaccination history, details of acute SARS-CoV-2 infection, overall health and physical function, and PASC symptom screen will be reported by subjects or collected from the electronic health record using a case report form at specified intervals. Biologic specimens will be collected at specified intervals.
Eligibility:
We are looking for asthmatics and non-asthmatics for a bronchoscopy study. Smoking history is ok, but you cannot actively be smoking any tobacco or marijuana in order to qualify. There will be up to 3 study visits in total, with compensation of up to $520.
The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is looking for interested adults 60 and over to participate in a research study examining how inflammation influences brain health. The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is looking for interested adults to participate in a research study examining how a concussion sustained later in life relates to inflammation and brain health. The goal of this study is to better understand how a concussion sustained later in life relates to inflammation, the aging process, and risk for future memory problems. This research study aims to see if we can improve exercise training responses to heart health in postmenopausal women. We are recruiting postmenopausal women to participate in a research study to help us understand if we can enhance exercise training benefits on cardiovascular health by administering an antioxidant supplement. We are looking for postmenopausal women, age 50 years or older, with no uncontrolled high blood pressure history of cancer, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease. Participation will include 6 in-person visits lasting between 1-3 hours each – visits will occur before and after a 10-week intervention. The whole study will span approximately 14-16 weeks Compensation will be provided.
Research study looking at your body's response to dietary changes after completing a free weight loss program. You will receive: Labwork, medical exam, body composition measurements, metabolic rate results, sleep and activity assessments and free meals for two 10 day periods.
The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the safety and effectiveness of a drug called sargramostim for improving cognitive function and memory in people with Alzheimer's disease. Participants will be asked to participate in weekly visits for 24 weeks (6 months), as well as screening and follow-up visits. Weekly appointments will be conducted at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Compensation Provided. Study related care and medication at no cost. These visits may include some of the following procedures:Cognitive testing, Twice weekly blood draws, Health Questionnaires, Study Partner Questionnaires, Lumbar Puncture (spinal tap), MRI, PET scan, Treatment/placebo injection 5x a week during treatment phase.
