Novel Approaches to Observationally Assessing Cannabis-Impaired Driving

Volunteers are needed for a study to help researchers learn more about how people are affected by cannabis in different ways. The researchers will use a driving simulator to compare the driving performance of adults who use cannabis daily, occasionally or do not use cannabis.

Skeletal Response to Simulated Night Shift (SPOTLIGHT Study)

Healthy men and women are needed for a research study!
Inclusion Criteria:

  • Healthy men and women aged 20-40 years old
  • Habitually sleep 7-9 hours/night
  • Have not done night shift work in the past year
  • Do not currently smoke
  • Fully vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2

Are you:

  • 25-50 year old male or female
  • Weight stable with BMI between 30-40 --check here
  • Generally healthy, without diabetes, sleep issues or heart disease
  • Willing to commit to an intensive 12 week weight loss program using meal replacements with or without exercise to lose weight
  • Able to attend several study visits over one year including four overnight stays

Enhancing Skeletal Adaptations to Exercise by Attenuating the Acute Disruption of Calcium Homeostasis During Exercise

The purpose of this study is to determine how endurance exercise training impacts certain bone markers in the blood. The information we gain from this study will be used to help design future exercise programs for osteoporosis prevention, therapy, and improve outcomes for Veterans who are at risk for osteoporosis. Volunteers for this study must Veterans who are between the ages of 25-45 OR 55-75 and in generally good health. They must be used to some exercise but not regularly exercising and have no history of Type 1 Diabetes or cardiovascular disease.

Cannabis Teens and Choice Study

The purpose of this research is to better understand the effects of substance use on decision making and biologic systems in adolescents. There are 2 study visits one-remote and one on-campus visit. Confidential. Compensation provided.


Healthy Foods

Mini MED Study: Foods from the Mediterranean Diet and Health

  • Biweekly visits to the University of Colorado CTRC over a period of 20 weeks
  • Blood, urine & stool sample collections
  • Four, 4-week periods with daily consumption of various study foods such as salmon, beef, oatmeal, cheesecake, walnuts, red peppers, avocado & chickpeas
