Eligibility:
There are 4-11 visits; procedures include blood draws, administration of a challenge dose of the shingles vaccine, and may consist of a skin biopsy. The FDA-approved Shingrix vaccine will be offered at study conclusion to participants who've never received it before.

This study is being done to look at the safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of the Nexplanon implant beyond 3 years usage in preventing pregnancy.
Healthy volunteers needed for research investigating bone health in adults with Type 1 diabetes. Study will need 4 visits over 3 years involving Blood work, Bone density scans and questionnaires. Compensation also provided.
Eligibility:
We are studying the effects of a 15-week exercise program on men and women between the ages of 30-55 both with and without type 2 diabetes. We are looking for individuals with a BMI between 30-40 who are currently doing less than 1 hour per week of exercise.
Volunteers needed for a research study examining the effects of once weekly semaglutide on intestinal barrier function in type 2 diabetics who are being treated with metformin only. Main procedures involve blood draws, lactulose mannitol ratio (urine) test, stool samples, and once-weekly subcutaneous injection of either semaglutide or a placebo. Compensation will be provided.
People who desire birth control pills as birth control to initiate an implant as a continuous back-up method.
