Lung PCA Study

The Lung PCA: A Multi-Dimensional Atlas of Pulmonary Premalignancy

Pre-screening of veteran and non-veteran subjects at high risk for the development of lung squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) will be identified and enrolled to undergo serial bronchoscopies at 12-month intervals over a 2-3 year period. Participation is voluntary, and patients will be apprised of their condition over the course of the bronchoscopies to ensure they receive quality health care for their condition, cancerous or not.

Breaking Up Sedentary Time to Improve Glucose Control in a Population at Risk for Developing Type 2 Diabetes

The BREAK strategy consists of 5-minute bouts of brisk walking performed hourly for 9 hours/day, 5 days per week, and the ONE strategy consists of a single 45-minute bout of brisk walking 5 days per week. The intervention will be maintained for two more months and glucose control will be tested. Participants will be male and female adult volunteers with overweight or obesity and pre-diabetes, a population that may be seeking physical activity options to control glucose.

Body Weight and Asthma Research Study

  • We are looking for volunteers ages 18-65 with AND without asthma.
  • Up to 3 visits will be at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and will include a baseline evaluation, methacholine challenge visit, and bronchoscopy for collection of airway epithelial cells.
