Do you currently have the birth control implant (Nexplanon) and have had it for 1 to 4 years? Are you interested in participating in a research study to better understand how genetic differences affect how well contraceptives work?

Molecular Transducers of Physical Activity Consortium (Mo TrPAC)

We are looking for volunteers who:

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Exercise 1 time a week or less
  • Have no history of diabetes or heart disease
  • Have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Would like to have an opportunity to exercise with a personal trainer for 12 weeks and have study-related health exams

TOPPLE T1D - A multiple ascending dose trial investigating safety tolerability and pharmacokinetics of NNC0361-0041 administered subcutaneously to patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus

TrialNet is testing the safety of a new treatment, NNC0361-0041, in adults with T1D. The treatment is a plasmid vector designed to transfer DNA into cells to communicate with the immune system.

Trial of Early Antiviral Therapies during Non-hospitalized Outpatient Window (TREAT NOW) for COVID-19

We are looking for individuals who are willing to participate in this research study for COVID-19. TREAT NOW looks to collect information needed to understand if a potential treatment, lopinavir/ritonavir, could help people recover faster and/or prevent serious events related to COVID-19, such as hospitalization.

Birth Control Hormonal Pill Study

This research is studying the effects of birth control pills with similar hormones already available by prescription. It is to test how well this birth control pill works to prevent pregnancy and which side effects it causes.

Nexplanon Extension Trial Study

This study looks at the safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of the Nexplanon implant beyond three years of usage in preventing pregnancy. We are also interested in how extending its use beyond the current FDA approval of 3 years affects the menstrual cycle and whether complications arise once it is removed.

Sex-based differences in the neuronal mechanisms of food intake behavior

Volunteers are needed for a study that aims to learn more about how men and women differ in their brains respond to food and hunger. It also plans to learn more about how hormones and the menstrual cycle affect these responses.

MER3101: MAS-1 Adjuvanted Antigen-Specific Immunotherapeutic for Prevention and Treatment of Type 1 Diabetes

  • Be age 18-45 years old
  • Be diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes within the previous two years
  • Meet ADA criteria for Type 1 Diabetes; have one genetic marker for diabetes (islet autoantibody)
  • Have a certain amount of C-peptide protein in the blood (indicates some natural insulin production)
  • A1c under 9.5
