What is ORCiD?
Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) is a researcher identifier and profiling system, that helps researchers to establish and maintain their scholarly identity.
What is an ORCiD ID?
An ORCID iD is a unique alphanumeric code that researchers can carry throughout their careers. This helps improve the discoverability of the work, and eliminates name ambiguity. Moreover, ORCiD IDs are increasingly required by NIH, scientific journals, and other systems for researchers.
ORCiD project goals
The main goal of the ORCiD project is to convince faculty/staff/students across Anschutz to build and curate ORCiD profiles that can be used as a source of truth for research activity documentation (grants, publications) and eventually integrate ORCID-related content into other campus systems.
Where can I claim my ORCiD ID at Anschutz?
Please claim your ORCiD ID at your InfoEd profile.
