The Office of Grants and Contracts will be closed from Monday, December 23 through Friday, December 27, 2024, and is closed January 1, 2025.
We will be open during normal business hours on December 30-31, 2024 and January 2-3, 2025.

FISCAL COMPLIANCE & TRAINING
NEW - Fiscal Policies and Procurement Compliance Training Series
Fiscal Compliance is pleased to announce the launch of the Fiscal Policies & Procurement Compliance training series! This learning program consists of five individual courses taught as part of a cohort and completed in the sequence outlined below.
Courses focus on connecting CU policies to the associated procurement processes. Topics that require critical thinking are highlighted with real-life examples and practiced through interactive exercises.
All CU Denver & CU Anschutz employees are eligible to take this series. At this time, all sessions are instructor-led and will be taught in person at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Fiscal Compliance Sponsored Project Training Program – Spring 2025
Registration for the sponsored projects training courses for Spring 2025 is now open in SkillSoft Percipio. The courses will be offered via Zoom and are open to all employees. These courses are particularly recommended for new employees at the University and to employees new to sponsored research.
Course information can be found on the Fiscal Compliance Training website. Registration, course descriptions and time and date offerings for each course are found on Percipio.
If you have questions about how register, you can visit the Skillsoft Percipio Learner’s Guide. Pages 4 and 5 of the guide provide instructions on how to find and register for a course.

1099 Reporting for Study Subjects
The 1099/W-9 Reporting deadline for Calendar Year 2024 (1/1/2024 – 12/31/2024) is end of business January 6, 2025. All Gift Card or Petty Cash Fund programs that have paid individuals over $100 during the calendar year must complete this reporting.

NIH FORMS | Instructions Released
The NIH has updated its "How to Apply – Application Guide" with new instructions for Forms-I grant applications. This guide details the process of registering, formatting, and submitting applications, including policies, page limits, and required sections such as biosketches and budgets. Tailored to diverse grant types like research, training, and fellowships, it also includes resources like annotated forms and system guidance for tools like ASSIST and eRA Commons. Linking Your ORCID-ID to SciENcv
To link your ORCID iD to your SciENcv account, sign into SciENcv via NCBI and navigate to the SciENcv dashboard. Select "Connect to ORCID," which redirects you to the ORCID login page. Authorize the connection, allowing SciENcv to access your ORCID profile. Once linked, SciENcv can import your ORCID information for use in creating biosketches and grant applications.

Financial Reporting Deadlines Over the Holiday Season
REMINDER: To ensure we are able to submit by the due date, please look for drafts that may come to you as a fiscal manager and provide your OGC post award team timely feedback for submission. We would love to get any for December entered prior to the break.

Preaward Status Notifications
Coming Soon - We will be sending emails to fiscal managers when a project is still in Preaward status 90 days after the planned start date. In efforts to transition these to open quicker and make sure OGC has up-to-date information, we will be requesting action on these upcoming emails. More to come with details and opportunities for feedback as we get closer to starting this process.
