We are delighted to announce the recipients of the 2022 CU Anschutz Research Awards. We had over 100 nominations reflecting the depth and strength of our research community. Thanks to all the nominees, those who took time to nominate their colleagues and to all involved in the process. 

Congratulations to all the awardees! The award ceremony will take place Tuesday, October 25, at 4 p.m. in the Elliman Conference Center at the Anschutz Health Sciences Building. For anyone interested in attending and joining the celebration, please RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

This session will cover an overview of federal funding for small businesses, with a description of the nuances of SBIR/STTR, types of SBIR and STTR grants, and registrations needed. We will also learn from successful SBIR/STTR awardees.

  • The 2023 School of Medicine Translational Research Scholars Program (TRSP) will provide awards of $75K annually for up to four years.
  • The goal of this program is to facilitate successful early career faculty in pursuing new lines of exploration and to elevate and expand the scope of their translational research.  Scholars are expected to commit 75% of their effort to scholarly activities.
  • Applicants must have a primary appointment in a Department with the SOM, and must be working at CU Anschutz/UCH, Rocky Mountain VAMC, Denver Health, or National Jewish Health.
  • Applicants must be within the first four years of their Assistant Professor appointment at the time of application (years at the Instructor level do not count against this limitation), and must hold an MD, DO, PhD, or DVM-equivalent degree.
